Welcome to Water Reminder. This Privacy Policy outlines how your information is handled when you use the Water Reminder mobile application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring a transparent user experience.

Water Reminder is designed as a 100% offline, privacy-focused application. All your hydration logs, target goals, reminder schedules, and application preferences are stored locally on your device.

2. Information Collection and Usage

We believe in data minimization and user privacy. Water Reminder operates under the following practices:

• No Personal Data Collection: We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal information (such as your name, email address, physical location, or contact list) on external servers.
• Local Storage Only: All intake logs, goal settings, and notification configurations are stored securely inside a local SQLite (Room) database on your device.
• No Cloud Sync or Server Tracking: The app does not connect to remote servers for analytics, tracking, advertising, or telemetry.

3. System Permissions Requested

To provide core features like timed hydration alerts, the app requests the following system permissions:

• POST_NOTIFICATIONS (Android 13+): Allows the app to display local hydration reminder notifications on your device.
• SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM & RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: Used to schedule exact local alarm triggers during your active hours and restore scheduled reminders if your device restarts.

These permissions are used solely for scheduled local alerts on your phone and are never utilized for remote tracking or background data harvesting.

4. Data Control and Deletion

You retain full control over your data at all times:

• JSON Export & Import: You can create complete backups of your local data in JSON format and restore them whenever you choose.
• Individual Log Deletion: You can delete any individual intake log directly within the app's Dashboard screen.
• Complete Data Erasure: Clearing the app's data in system settings or uninstalling the app permanently deletes all stored records from your device.

5. Third-Party Services

Water Reminder does not integrate third-party SDKs, advertising networks, social media logins, or external analytics engines.

6. Children's Privacy

Water Reminder does not knowingly collect or solicit any personal information from children. Because all app data remains strictly local to the user's device, the app is safe for users of all ages.
